During key moments like getting ready, the ceremony, and family portraits, having a second shooter ensures that no memory is missed. It also helps with covering simultaneous events (like both partners getting ready in different locations). This added layer of storytelling provides you with a more complete, rich, and emotional visual narrative of your day.
